Thinking about the current state of the galaxy often makes me feel overwhelmed. Trying to focus on my circumstances often leaves me feeling constrained by the limited options available to improve my life. One of the only escapes from this harsh reality is fantasizing about theoretical possibilities. In my imagination, the universe becomes infinite once again. It’s here that I regain a sense of freedom.

One thing I like to wonder about is what it would be like to be a higher dimensional being. Currently, I reside in 3 spatial dimensions and I’m able to perceive 1 time dimension. Altering my dimensional properties would fundamentally change how I see and experience existence. One of the most interesting realms to explore is time.
As a human, I experience time as a continuous, flowing transition between the past and future. But, if I could experience an additional axis of time, it’s likely that I’d not only see the present but also the past and future concurrently. It’d certainly be a different experience.

Such an experience would likely enable the ability to adjust how you see any given object, from how it was in the past to its current state to how it’ll look at its end state. I imagine such an ability would be adjustable similar to how one can rewind, watch as it happening or fast forward a TV show at will.
It would be quite the experience adjusting my time lens, meeting someone and instantly being able to see how they were, how they are and how’ll they’ll be the moment before death. Experiencing individuals and objects as a fluid temporal entity certainly would change your relationship with them.

Four spatial dimensions seems a bit more straightforward. Essentially, you’d be able to see through third dimensional objects as long as you’re not blocked by another 4th dimensional object. However, being a 4th dimensional entity seems like more interesting thought experiment. Its likely being in the fourth spatial realm allows for the perception of all of the 3rd dimension and an ability to interact in a way that can’t be necessarily be observed.
Having both the extra time and spatial dimension, would seem to enable a demigod at the very least. Adding one more time dimension and now we’d be able to see many different possible timelines for a given object or entire universe. I’m wondering if it would be necessary to have a 5th spatial dimension to access objects across various timelines. Its also possible that there’s higher dimensions still that can oversee our multiverse overseers where the top entity being God god.

Though the multiverse concept isn’t necessarily new, I am far more curious what it would be like experientially. How would I personally be towards people if I could see their past, present, future and all their alternate timelines? How would my self concept change seeing myself through so many different lenses? Would I lose my sense of self concept when I knew all possible outcomes for everyone? Would humans feel way more formulatic?
Surely, somewhere on some timeline, we all collectively find a way to coexist in such a way where we reach peak total human happiness. I hope one day to be able to experience such a time and place.
